2023-24 Week One Results

In a highly anticipated inaugural game, the Chargers and Knights battled it out in a thrilling wheelchair hockey game that ended in an 11-11 tie. The Knights started strong, leading 6-4 after the first period. However, the Chargers mounted a comeback in the second period, scoring 4 goals to the Knights' 2.

The third period was a nail-biting affair, with both teams scoring 3 goals each to ultimately end the game in a tie. Despite the intense competition, the spirit of sportsmanship prevailed, leaving fans excited for the future of wheelchair hockey and the upcoming matchups between these two talented teams.

For the Knights it was Anthony Theuer leading the charge with 7 incredible goals. Trei Cools and Jeff Fleshner chipped in with 3 and 1 goal, respectively.

Kevin Konfara was the standout player for the Chargers, contributing 7 goals and 4 assists throughout the game. Piotr Pasik made a triumphant return with 1 goal after a year away from the game. Zeljko Sreckovic added 3 goals, earning himself the title of the game's first star.

Hockey action returns next Saturday as the Knights and Thunderbirds square off. We are excited to see who will earn the first victory of #ANewEra!
